Recent reports have brought to light a significant decision made by Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, lifting the lid on the complex dynamics within the Jolie-Pitt family.
Since the early 00s, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s life has been the talk of the tabloids. From the cheating allegations surrounding their early romance, to the violent rumors about their divorce, there aren’t many Hollywood actors who garner such public interest.
Though, the one thing Jolie is constantly praised for is the commitment she has to her six children – Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15.
However, if the latest news is to be believed, the tight family unit she’s fostered since her acrimonious split from Pitt could be unraveling; as Shiloh has made the difficult decision to leave her Jolie’s residence to reside with her father until she turns 18.
Understandably, this decision hasn’t been easy for Jolie to accept. She is reportedly upset that Shiloh has chosen to live with Pitt, particularly considering the challenges they’ve faced in the past – which have included allegations of violence at the hands of Pitt.
Despite the differing sentiments her other siblings may hold towards the Inglourious Basterds actor (Shiloh’s brother Pax famously called his father a “f***ing awful human being”) Shiloh shares a special bond with her father, a source familiar with the situation told In Touch Weekly.
Jolie, while recognizing that Shiloh is maturing and capable of making her own decisions, is said to be less than pleased with Shiloh’s choice. Naturally, it’s a difficult situation for her to come to terms with.
However, Shiloh’s decision doesn’t stem from any unhappiness with her mother. Rather, as she approaches the age of 18, she feels ready for a change. While she plans to reside with Brad, she reportedly assures that she will still maintain regular visits with Angelina and her siblings, the source reveals.
A report from 2022 highlighted Shiloh’s strong bond with her father who, on the red carpet for his movie Bullet Train, spoke of his daughter after a video of her dancing went viral. “It brings a tear to the eye,” the proud dad told Entertainment Tonight, adding: “She’s very beautiful.”
