Danny Bonaduce from ‘The Partridge Family’ Lost Ability to Speak & Walk – He Looks Good Now after Wife Took Care of Him

From being a child star to facing a debilitating illness, Danny Bonaduce’s life has been marked by extreme highs and lows.

Despite losing the ability to speak and walk, the “The Partridge Family” star has found stability and peace.

The actor’s wife of 12 years took on the role of his caregiver and helped him lead a quiet life.

Danny Bonaduce, known for his role as Danny Partridge in the popular sitcom “The Partridge Family,” has had a tumultuous journey in his life.

Despite being a lovable and cute child star, Bonaduce’s fall from grace was the topic of many comedians’ jokes.

The actor struggled with substance abuse, had multiple stints in rehab, and found himself in the pages of tabloids. In his memoir, “Random Acts of Badness,” he chronicled his journey and the consequences of his actions.

However, fame and fortune came with being a child star before the Hollywood mishaps. He loved being famous, and at just 11 years old, Bonaduce made $400 a week (equivalent to roughly $3,000 today) to star in a hit sitcom.

The youngster was driven past hundreds of screaming fans whenever he went to work. While he enjoyed life in the limelight, there was a downside too.

Fans often disappointedly yelled, “Never mind; it’s only Danny,” when they didn’t see their favorite stars like David Cassidy or Susan Dey coming by.

Bonaduce’s life worsened when the hit television series ended after four years. He struggled with his demons and even lived in his car for a few years.

He bounced around being “a professional maniac” for a while, often recognized only as “the guy from The Partridge Family.” However, his co-star Cassidy advised him to avoid his vices and focus on staying clean.

Following Cassidy’s advice, Bonaduce landed a job as a radio host in Philadelphia and later hosted his own early morning show in Chicago, where he proved to be a gifted communicator with excellent listening skills.

Danny Bonaduce Lost the Ability to Speak & Walk after the Series
Bonaduce has faced his fair share of personal struggles, including a health scare that left him unable to walk or speak properly. His wife, Amy Railsback, noticed something was off in April 2022 and quickly called for help.

“I couldn’t walk at all,” Bonaduce recalled in a “Good Morning America” interview. His wife was nervous and terrified because he was not “saying words” or “speaking English.”

Doctors admitted Bonaduce to the hospital, where he remained for five days. He remembers very little of that time and eventually had to take medical leave from his Seattle-based radio show.

He wrote then: “I’m still working towards receiving a diagnosis. What I do know is I need some time to focus on my health.”

The radio host added that while he did not get the answers he wanted as doctors struggled to diagnose him, he had a great support structure.

The star is hugely grateful to his wife for saving him. He recognizes that he was in a dangerous place before she came into his life and shares that Railsback’s love and support changed everything for him.

Throughout the fear and uncertainty, Railsback stayed by Bonaduce’s side, caring for him and ensuring he got the help he needed.

Danny Bonaduce Chose A Quiet Life with His Wife of 12 Years
After years of struggles with addiction and health issues, Bonaduce has settled into a quieter life with his wife. He is also a proud father of two children, Isabella and Dante, and seems to enjoy his family life.

In a photograph, the former child star, wearing a shirt and blue jeans, looked happy, healthy, and content while working on a project.

Fans quickly commented on his appearance, wishing him the best and admiring his positive energy. One noted: “You’re looking good! Stay healthy and happy,” while another added:

“Danny Boom-Boom Bonaduce!!! Great to see you and your smile! Your listeners love you and wish you the best.”

Bonaduce and his beloved wife celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in November 2022, a testament to their strong bond.

Now, the 64-year-old radio broadcaster is co-hosting a morning talk and music show for the classic rock station KZOK-FM in Seattle, where he has lived with his wife for more than a decade.

Despite his previous battles, Bonaduce has found peace and stability in his personal and professional life.

The star is hugely grateful to his wife for saving him. He recognizes that he was in a dangerous place before she came into his life and shares that Railsback’s love and support changed everything for him.

“Everyone said, ‘You have to do it for yourself, you can’t do it for somebody else’ – lies, lies, lies. I flat out did it for Amy, and when that seemed to go alright every day, I worked on it,” Bonaduce acknowledged.

He is very clear that Railsback is why he was able to get his life back on track, and he’s not afraid to give her credit for that. Bonaduce is appreciative that she stuck around and showed him that there was something worth fighting for.

Despite his new, quieter life, the iconic face from “The Partridge Family” series hasn’t lost his sense of fun.

He still enjoys riding his unicycle and bringing joy to those around him. He’s grateful for the second lease on life that Railsback helped him achieve, and he’s committed to making the most of it.
