Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have only recently married, and Stefani came into the marriage with children from her previous spouse. Now, fans are noticing something about the boys and their stepfather.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been married for a while now. While Shelton never had any biological children, Stefani has often gushed over what a wonderful stepfather her husband is.
She has talked about how easily he gets along with her sons and the beautiful relationship they have forged since the pair began dating while filming “The Voice.”
However, a recent Instagram post by Shelton gave fans a glimpse into how her sons look now, and people were shocked by what they saw in the charming family photo.
What Did Fans Say About Stefani’s Son and Shelton?
Stefani has just been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her proud husband took to Instagram to share photos from the event honoring the singer, including one featuring the couple and Stefani’s sons standing by the new star and another of Stefani lying behind it.
While many fans gushed about Shelton’s kind words for his wife as he talked about her talent and success, others noticed something else — how Stefani’s middle son looked like Shelton. One said:
“I know it’s impossible, but my husband and I were just saying the same thing!”
Other fans said Stefani’s oldest son looked like his father, her middle son looked like Shelton and her youngest son looked like her but dressed like his stepfather. One fan said Stefani’s middle son looked “completely” like Shelton and even had the same dimples.
Shelton has embraced being a stepfather and even said that his career had taken a backseat since he married Stefani and became the boys’ stepfather. He said he was enjoying this new phase of his life.
While he has enjoyed being a father figure to the boys in his home, he also acknowledged how scary it was to be a role model to three young men. He confessed:
“That’s a scary moment for me because it’s one thing for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy, but you do have to consider after a while that they start to listen to things that you say and there’s a lot of responsibility that comes with that.”
However, he found the balance between being the boys’ buddy and being their stepfather and an authority figure in their lives. He has also begun doing everyday fatherly things like watching the boys’ sports matches.
In June last year, he and Stefani were seen attending Stefani’s son’s baseball game in Los Angeles. The pair looked relaxed and casual as they went to cheer the young man on.
Since the couple’s marriage in 2021, they have often been seen out with Stefani’s sons and look the picture of a happy family, with Shelton quickly getting along with Stefani’s boys.
