Jennifer Lopez was one of the stars who chose to walk 2023’s Met Gala red carpet in a sexy gown—a Ralph Lauren dress—that had tongues wagging with its cut-out design. In March, the singer also showed off her abs in a Julien Macdonald gown that featured a high slit, showing off her toned thighs.
The actress is well-known for not being shy to show off her body. However, during a May 2023 television appearance, Lopez, 53, revealed that her husband, Ben Affleck, 50, wasn’t so on board with her sexy looks.
The musician jokingly confessed that the actor sometimes judged her more raunchy outfits. Despite the jokes, the “Air” actor doesn’t hold back whenever he thinks his wife looks phenomenal. During a press tour for his recent film, Air” he gushed about her looking “spectacular.”
The couple rekindled their relationship a few years ago before marrying in June 2022 in Las Vegas. The newlyweds held their wedding reception in Georgia and were quite affectionate holding hands.
This didn’t seem the case, though, when a video of them appearing to be in a heated argument inside the car surfaced online on May 13, 2023,
The timeline of when the alleged altercation happened wasn’t clear, but it was reported just a day after the actor went viral for seemingly closing the car door for his wife with an attitude.
The incident where Affleck and Lopez were seen arguing in a car reportedly happened earlier in the month while they were waiting at a traffic light in Beverly Hills. The singer’s husband was recorded gesturing with his hands as he expressed himself.
The couple appeared engrossed in their conversation, unaware they were being recorded while arguing in the car with Affleck’s window open. Throughout the interaction, Lopez seemed more “timid” and reserved as her husband spoke animatedly.
A witness who saw the exchange said it was apparent Affleck was “frustrated or irritated.” They revealed that the actor waved his hands up and down as he addressed his wife, who looked sad.
The two were reportedly so focused on their conversation that they didn’t look to the side and kept their eyes on each other and the traffic light. The insider said there were no pedestrians or other cars when the incident occurred.
There were speculations that the duo, who had been married for less than a year, might be “miserable” in their marriage, judging from another video of Affleck closing his wife’s car door.
On May 8, 2023, the singer’s husband was recorded walking to his wife’s side of their Mercedes and waiting patiently for her to get in before semi-slamming the door. The actor, who was holding a drink, swung his arm dramatically before walking away. After walking to the driver’s side, he addressed the paparazzi, appearing quite unimpressed with them.
A Twitter user shared the clip two days after the incident and noted how people could “have it all” but “still be miserable.” Someone else replied to the post, writing, “He always looks like he’s fed up and annoyed.”

On May 5, 2023, Lopez appeared on “Live! With Kelly and Mark,” where she revealed she often asked Affleck for fashion advice. She said he would always give his opinions, although she doesn’t always share them.
The mother of two said that the “Batman” actor didn’t go to fittings with her, but during red carpet events, she would ask him which of her outfit choices he preferred.
The musician said Affleck sometimes jokingly teased her, asking things like where the rest of her shirt was, and Lopez would hilariously respond by saying the outfit didn’t have anything else!
At one point, the former couple seemed to wear the same gray sweater.
Ironically, while the actor now trolls his wife about her clothes, he didn’t seem to mind twinning with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

The “Miracles From Heaven” actress and Affleck appeared to act like a loving family as soon as they came together. He embraced his first wife when they saw each other and spent 45 minutes together in class.
At one point, the former couple seemed to wear the same gray sweater, with blue jeans and white sneakers. Affleck arrived wearing it before he gave it to Garner, and they passed the clothing item to and from each other throughout the day.
At the end of their outing, the “Alias” star wore it last after her ex-husband threw it back to her before they went their separate ways, after which Garner took their daughters for some pizza.
