Matthew McConaughey and his wife recently wore coordinated clothes for an outing, but some fans said mean things about her.
However, the actor has shown how fond he is of her by how he looks at her.
On September 10, 2023, Matthew McConaughey, 53, was seen on a New York City outing with his wife, Camila Alves, 41, as they prepared to go to the US Open Tennis Championships. Having been married for eleven years, the couple held hands as they strolled through the city in matching white outfits.
The actor wore a white short-sleeved T-shirt, matching pants, and shoes, while his wife wore off-white slacks, a matching blazer, and Gucci sneakers. The star’s wife accessorized her look with silver necklaces and bracelets.
The mother of three styled her long hair loosely while she and the “Interstellar” star wore fashionable sunglasses. Daily Mail readers replied to the publication’s article about the couple’s outing focusing on Alves, with one person writing:
“Her face looks fat and droopy.”
Another troll replied to the article, stating, “She looks very puffy,” while someone else even wrote this about McConaughey’s wife, “She’s ugly.” However, once, during a 2020 interview, he seemed to cancel out their negative comments by describing the bond he has with Alves, saying:
“We have a love that we never question.”
In a 2018 interview, the “Dallas Buyers Club” star noted how he ended up marrying Alves because he realized time was racing by with him about to turn 40. He’d planned to be married with children by that age but didn’t want to feel anxious about it because finding a mate while struggling with too much anxiety was impossible.
McConaughey also didn’t want to make a rash decision because who knew those who had. The celebrity wasn’t sure he’d find “the one” despite his efforts and wasn’t actively looking for someone because he thought he was trying too hard.

Instead, he chose to be himself and believed the right person would come if it were fate, and in 2006, he saw “this amazing woman” floating past him at a club. The “Greenlights” author wanted to know who she was and introduced himself, only to find out it was Alves.
Since then, the actor has never wanted to spend time with or want children with any other woman. In past public appearances, McConaughey physically showed how much he adored the mother of his children.

In July 2023, McConaughey went out again with his wife to an official event in Los Angeles, where he showed how much he loved her by waiting for her to exit their limousine while a crowd patiently waited for him to attend to them. The “Magic Mike” star escorted her out of the vehicle like a gentleman, posed for photos with her, and ensured she was safe and comfortable away from the crowd before walking off to sign autographs for fans. The Brazilian-born model’s husband returned to his love, held her hand, and walked into the venue together.
