Queen Camilla Beams with Joy over Matching Valentine’s Day Sweaters with Hearts for Her and King Charles

Showing royal affection on Valentine’s Day, Queen Camilla captured hearts as she proudly accepted matching sweaters designed for herself and King Charles III during an event that celebrated William Shakespeare.

During the “Celebration of Shakespeare” event held at London’s Grosvenor House on February 14, 2024, Queen Camilla was seen smiling brightly, embodying the spirit of love and festivity. Adorned in an elegant emerald green dress with slightly puffed sleeves and a collar design, she held up the Valentine’s Day sweaters, which were decorated with red hearts.

The present was given by event host Gyles Brandreth, a thoughtful gift meant to keep her and King Charles III “warm on those cold winter nights.” Queen Camilla’s radiant smile, as captured in photographs, made a memorable Valentine’s Day gesture that resonated well beyond the walls of Grosvenor House.

The event marked a memorable time for the Queen’s husband, King Charles III, who became the President of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1991 when he was still carrying the title Prince of Wales. His Majesty, who has always been fond of the author, previously performed Shakespeare plays while studying in college.

Robert Lindsay, one of the performers during the event, claimed that Valentine’s Day was a “perfect day to celebrate the King’s love of Shakespeare, and indeed to celebrate the love between the King and the Queen.”

While he couldn’t attend the event, supposedly for the King and Queen Camilla, she enjoyed the celebration for him. Photos from the evening were also posted on the royal family’s official Instagram account.

“Her Majesty The Queen attended a celebration of Shakespeare, where she was joined by some famous faces. The event concluded with performances by Gary Oldman, Robert Lindsay, and Dame Judi Dench,” the post read.

A video of Camilla at the event also made rounds online, where she was seen mingling with guests, such as representatives of the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, directors, and authors. Some of the attendees included Charles Dance, Stephen Fry, and Sir David Suchet.

Queen Camilla’s engagement came after her husband was diagnosed with cancer. She and King Charles were previously spotted returning to Buckingham Palace after spending a week at Sandringham in Norfolk.

On February 13, the couple made their way back home in a helicopter. They were photographed arriving at Clarence House looking high in spirits despite the diagnosis.
